On the ground floor of Palazzo Parolari, a building dated 1750 located in the historic center of the city of Crema, there is another property owned by fb.m. that is still being renovated.
The property, previously residential, after a change of use, is undergoing a deep restyling, necessary for its new destination.
It will become a representative office, not open to the public, in which the Management will receive customers, suppliers and/or collaborators only by appointment, for meetings of particular importance.
We have tried to change the somewhat dusty image, while respecting every element of original historical importance and at the same time we have completely redone all the plants to bring them into compliance. We have improved the property by changing the windows and inserting the high-performance ones, we have integrated the traditional heating, characterized by original radiators decorated and cast iron that by aesthetic choice and respect are enhanced in their beauty, we have enhanced the traditional system with a hot /cold air conditioning system, which is masked in some plasterboard furnishing elements and is remotely controllable by smartphone, we then inserted all the technology necessary to work in contemporary and diversified conference calls, as well as alarm systems, video surveillance, etc. Particular importance has been given to the lighting system, we have totally changed the illuminating system by inserting exclusively LEDs that illuminate from above, incorporated into the perimeter cornices under the cross vaults, from below, inserted between the perimeter walls and the original restored hooves, only a few other design light points will complement or light on time.
Of particular importance is the mezzanine that we have designed to be inserted in a context of such importance and, not wanting to obscure the beauty of the vaults and friezes, we opted for a mezzanine with steel structure and extrachio glass that allows the perception of everything. In this type of interventions one must always confront with the most varied skills and the interaction between architects and engineers is constant and decisive of all the problems encountered in dealing concretely and not only at the theoretical level interventions on these historic buildings in which there is no documentation and every cm. painting can reserve surprises…
